Ambleside Accommodation?

In the heart of the English Lake District National Park
There is a lot to see and do in and about Ambleside,

In the town of Ambleside which is where Ambleside Backpackers is situated there are many good restuarants, pubs, outdoor clothing and outdoor equipment and other shops. There is a fine Church to visit, boating at Waterhead, bowls, tennis, crazy golf and a waterfall to view - and that's before you start to think about bike and canoe hire!
Then there are fells and mountains to walk, climb, cycle, tour or just sit back and look at - bring some strong shoes or walking boots if you want to climb the hills and fells.
The mountains can be dangerous - get local information on weather etc. before setting off up the hills.
Within the lake district national park is Englands highest mountain -Scafell Pike, followed by Helvellyn and Skiddaw with a huge number of other peaks and pikes to visit , climb, scramble up or down. The lakes is the centre of Wainwright's walk kingdom and also the homes of Beatrix Potter, Wordsworth and Ruskin to visit.
Plenty of Lakes and tarns to throw stones in, go boating on or just sit beside.

If you are doing the Land End to John 'o' Groats cycle ride this is half way -give or take a mile!
We are close to the Coast to Coast path and Cumbria Way.
